Safety Instructions
warning
Please read these instructions carefully and ensure the safety of the environment and personnel around the robot before starting teleoperation.
1. Controlled Operating Area
- Robot Work Area: Set up safety barriers that meet industrial standards, covering the robot's maximum reach.
- No Entry During Operation: Do not enter the robot's reachable area while it is moving to prevent accidental collisions.
2. Teleoperation Safety Procedures
- Training for New Users: First-time users should practice in a simulation environment to get familiar with the mapping between VR devices and robot movements.
- Smooth Operation: Move VR controllers slowly during familiarization to avoid sudden or abrupt movements.
- Device Check: Before each session, check that the VR headset and controllers have at least 20% battery. Recharge or replace batteries if needed.
- Handling Visual Issues: If the headset display flickers or shifts, stop operation immediately and recalibrate. Do not continue if the display or controllers are unstable.
- Proper Use of VR Controllers: Do not put down or swing the VR controllers randomly during operation to avoid disconnection or loss of tracking, which could cause unexpected robot movements.
Proper Operation:
- Wear the VR headset correctly and ensure a stable display.
- Hold both VR controllers and keep them within the headset's tracking range.
- Calibration Before Sync: Before starting teleoperation, press and hold the calibration button on the controller to calibrate the display.
- Stability During Sync: Do not walk around or recalibrate during teleoperation. If adjustment is needed, stop the operation first.
3. Safety Officer Responsibilities & Emergency Response
- Emergency Plan: Assign a safety officer during teleoperation, ready to press the robot's emergency stop at any time.
- No Collision Protection: This system does not provide collision feedback or protection. Users must ensure the robot does not collide with people or the environment.
